Butser Hill Challenge 2011

The cool overcast weather conditions were ideal for a strenuous run. To make thing's a little harder this year you had to climb over 2 gates on the first ascent, and at the back of the third ascent they changed the route slightly.
If you enjoyed this run you might like to consider doing the Charmouth Challenge next year (sat 7th July 2012). This is an 8 mile run and is graded as a BM fell run (Butser is a BS). Charmouth is located in Dorset, at the western edge of the county, a bit of a way to go but worth it. This event is run by the local PTA of the Charmouth school and is very well organised event.. I did it this year and found it very hard going .. the shower provided by the local fire brigade after the finishing line was most refreshing. For further info see Charmouth Challenge 2012. A runner made a video of his run this year and can be seen on You Tube, its rather amusing and worth a look, You Tube Charmouth Challenge 2011 video (the more observant of you will spot me in action).
Again I was at two locations. The first location was just past the gate on the first ascent. The second location was near the top of the third asscent.
