Summer X-Country 2008

This site contains  photos taken at the Summer X-Country at the Queen Elizabeth Country park, June 25th 2008. It was a very pleasant evening for a gentle run around the park. This is not an easy run to do as their are some steep climbs in places, and the descent back through the wooded path at the end is "interesting".

This is always a difficult event to take photographs at, as in the evening the light levels are lower coupled with the fact you are in shaded valley, which can further reduce the available light. My normal style is to use a longer focal length lens to capture in detail the pained expression on you faces, but the light levels are not sufficient for this. As I needed to use my wider aperture F2.8 28-75 Tamron lens, I was taking the more traditional fully body racing shots. 

I'm afraid there is no find your image by race number facility,  you will have to wade through all the thumbnails to find a photo of interest. Note that by clicking on the numbers on the top of the thumbnail pages you will be taken directly to that page, so you can use that to start your search later in the album. The thumbnails for the finish group of photos are on the small side ... this is a problem with the software I've written to automatically generate the album pages... I will fix the bug when/if I get a spare evening.

If you would like a FREE full size digital copy of the image, e-mail the image number to alandunkdenmead@aol.com , or use the request image link at the bottom of each photo. I will try respond to all request's within 24hrs. If I don't respond within 24hrs please allow a few more days before requesting the image again just in case I'm away.  If I have still not responded, please try using a different e-mail account as your e-mail/my e-mail response could have been zapped by a spam filter some where in the e-mail chain.

All images can be freely used for personal use, running club websites and running club newsletter's etc. The copy write notice is only their  to deter anyone from trying to sell my images commercially.
