Meon Valley Plod - 2008

It was an ideal spring day for a gentle run around the meon valley. The weather was most kind to you all, although it was cold to start with - the odd icy patches keep you on your toes. At least this year you could admire the view. Several runners where wearing sunglass - not the usual equipment you associate with the plod. I hear that some of the die hard plodders where complaining about the lack of mud and rain and intended to demand a refund!

I was at  2 locations this year:

The first point was Small Down, a few miles from the start. Please note, if you took the short cut to avoid the crush at the style your picture was not taken.

The second point was at the top of the long haul up Butser Hill.

If you would like a FREE full size digital copy of the image, e-mail the image number to alandunkdenmead@aol.com , or use the request image link at the bottom of each photo. I will try and respond to all request's within 24hrs.

All images can be freely used for personal use, running club websites and running club newsletter's etc. The copy write notice is only their  to deter anyone from trying to sell my images commercially.

The more observant of you would have noticed that I deployed a video camera as well this year. Due to the style of photos I take, i.e. getting in close to capture your expressions of joy/pain,  I do not always capture your number on the image. This means that you have to trawl through mass of images looking for your picture. The aim is to marry up the video and still images so I can provide a find your photo by race number facility. Nice idea .... just need a bigger battery for the video camera!. I will see if I can make the video available on You Tube ... just give me a few days to work out how to get the stuff off the video camera and onto the web.

If you have visited this site before, you will know that I always end with a promise that I will shortly be improve the website and make it easier to use etc. Well finally after 2 years I've started. Let me know what you think. Further updates are planed to included, find your photo by race number and sub albums specific to a running club (This will be available over the next few days)
