Denmead 10K - 2008

It was an ideal autumnal weather for a run, cool with only the odd splattering of light shower during the latter part of the race (enough for me to dig out the waterproof cover for the camera). The course is mostly flat with a little climb around the 4km mark just to raise the heart rate a little.

This is my "home ground", and I can be been seen running on the roads/paths to the north of the village, which are a lot quieter but a lot more undulating.

The more photographic minded of you will notice that the some of the images taken at the finish look a little grainer.  This is due to the poor light requiring  a 1600 ISO to ensure I could use a high enough shutter speed to freeze the action with the lens used. I will be getting a replacement lens shortly which will over come the limitations of that lens, so don't be surprised if you see me at a race I don't normally do to test the lens out in readiness for the Meon valley plod.

I was at the usual 2 locations this year:

The first point was about 300m from the start, on the harvest home roundabout.

The second point was at the finish line in the KGF field.
